Account & Profile Data: When you register as a House Seeker or Local Scout (House Hunter), we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password.
Verification Documents: For verified Scouts, we may collect government-issued identification or photo verification to maintain platform safety and trust.
Financial & Wallet Data: To process top-ups, escrow holds, and M-Pesa withdrawals, we collect transaction identifiers, phone numbers associated with mobile money accounts, and wallet ledger balances.
User Content & Communications: Photos, property descriptions, amenities, location notes, and direct in-app messages exchanged between Seekers and Scouts.
Precise & Approximate Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise location data (GPS) to match Seekers with nearby Scouts, display local property listings, and enable accurate neighborhood search features.
Device & Usage Information: We collect device IDs, operating system version, app performance logs, IP address, and crash report data to ensure technical stability.
We use the collected data for the following essential operational purposes:
Core Service Delivery: Connecting House Seekers with nearby verified Scouts and displaying real-time off-market property vacancies.
Transaction & Escrow Management: Holding finder fees in escrow, processing wallet balances, and facilitating payouts to Scouts via third-party payment gateways (e.g., Pesapal, M-Pesa).
Identity & Security Verification: Screening Scout profiles to prevent fraudulent listings, unauthorized access, and off-platform exploitation.
Customer Support & Communications: Responding to inquiries, resolving escrow disputes, and sending critical updates regarding account activity or policy changes.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data in the following limited circumstances:
Between Platform Users: Limited profile details (e.g., Scout name, rating, approximate location) are shared between Seekers and Scouts to facilitate property viewing requests and in-app communications.
Third-Party Payment Processors: Financial and transaction details are securely shared with authorized payment service providers (including Pesapal and mobile network operators) solely to process wallet top-ups and M-Pesa payouts.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to enforce our Terms and Conditions and protect user safety.
Security Measures: We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including HTTPS encryption, secure database access controls, and tokenized wallet authentication) to protect your personal data.
Data Retention: We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, comply with financial auditing regulations, and enforce our agreements.
You have full control over your personal data. You can request the permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.
In-App Deletion: Go to Account Settings > Delete Account inside the HouseHunters app to initiate an automated deletion request.
Web / Email Request: You can also submit an explicit deletion request by emailing us at support@outsourcexperts.net with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”.
Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is legally required for transaction auditing or law enforcement obligations.
The Platform is intended for adult users only and is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete it.
